Press Conference – Medienwerk.at
Press conference

One camera. Or the complete setup.

Press conferences delivered with full technical production – camera, sound, lighting, livestream and finished video material from a single source.

Press conference

You speak. We deliver.

For companies and organisations holding a press conference: we take on exactly as much technology as you need – from a simple recording to a complete sound, lighting and streaming infrastructure.

A press conference has one date – and no second take. For it to work, the sound for the media must be clean, the picture usable and the technology reliable. That is exactly our part: we bring cameras, microphones, audio mixing, PA, lighting, screens and a press splitter box, look after everything on site and then deliver the material for you to work with.

Exactly as much technology as you need

Some clients only want the press conference recorded. Others need the complete setup: podium microphones, room PA, lighting, screens, a press splitter box for the camera teams and a livestream for everyone who cannot travel. Tell us your plans – we will put together the right setup.

Discuss your setup

Which production suits your press conference?

Depending on your goal, we handle the live broadcast, produce a finished video report or stage the entire press conference as a hybrid format.

1. Livestream

The press conference live on YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, your website or in a protected area. On request with multiple cameras, live direction, integrated presentations and graphics.

2. Video report

An edited report on your press conference: the key statements, podium pictures, with lower thirds and your logo on request. Ready for your website, social media and distribution to newsrooms – by the following day at the latest.

3. Hybrid

Journalists in the room and online take part on equal terms: remote media ask questions live that can be heard in the room, external speakers join on screen and in the stream. We handle PA, projection and vision mixing as well.

Everything your press conference needs

Book individually or as a complete package – setup, on-site support and teardown included.

Microphones

Microphones of all types: table microphones for the podium, handheld microphones for questions from the audience.

Audio mixing

A sound engineer mixes podium, audience and inserts into a clean signal – for the room, the recording, the stream and the media.

Press splitter box

The clean audio signal to any number of feeds – usually around ten. Camera teams and radio record directly from the mixing desk instead of via room microphones.

Loudspeakers

PA for rooms of any size. Everyone in the room can understand the speakers, questions from the audience and remotely connected participants.

Spotlights

Broadcast-ready LED lighting for podium and stage – so faces look good in the recording, the stream and the media’s cameras.

TVs & screens

Screens in all sizes: for presentations in the room, as a return feed for the podium and for the connected participants.

Behind the scenes

How your press conference runs

  1. Enquiry & briefing: ideally around two weeks in advance – short-notice dates are also possible on request. We clarify the topic, location, number of speakers and desired distribution channels.
  2. Planning: we define camera positions, microphone setup, PA, lighting, press splitter box and internet connection. If no reliable network is available on site, we bring our own connection with bonded cellular on request.
  3. On-site production: setup and technical check well before the start, then continuous support from our team – you concentrate on the content.
  4. Delivery: photos and full-length raw video on the same day, the edited video report by the following day at the latest. On request we handle the upload to your channels or provide a download link for newsrooms.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

How much does a livestream of a press conference cost?

A basic livestream with 1 camera, up to 2 hours duration and streaming to 1 platform costs € 490 net. For hybrid formats with multiple cameras, vision mixing and remote participants we prepare a custom quote.

What is included in the basic livestream package – and what is not?

Included are 1 camera, 1 microphone and streaming to a platform of your choice. Not included are computer presentations, a recording for further use and post-production – for that there is the event video package or a custom quote.

Can we also have an edited video made from the press conference?

Yes. The event video package costs € 990 net for up to 4 hours of event duration and includes camera crew, an editor on site for interviews as well as editing and post-production. You receive a finished highlight video as MP4.

What does hybrid mean for a press conference?

Hybrid means: journalists in the room and online take part on equal terms. Remote media can ask questions live that are audible in the room, external speakers can be brought onto the screen and into the stream – we handle PA, presentations and vision mixing in the room as well. As the effort depends heavily on the format, we prepare a custom quote.

What is a press splitter box, and do we need one?

A press splitter box distributes the clean audio signal from the mixing desk to any number of feeds – usually around ten. Camera teams, radio and podcast editors record an intelligible audio track directly on site instead of via room microphones. It is included in the sound package (€ 750 net, up to four microphones).

Do you also bring microphones, PA, lighting and screens?

Yes. We provide microphones of all types, audio mixing, PA for rooms up to 600 m², broadcast-ready LED lighting and more than ten screens for presentations, return feed and direction.

Do you also offer simultaneous interpreting for press conferences?

Yes. Interpreters join online and receive live picture and sound in TV quality, participants listen via digital interpreting headphones – with no interpreting booth on site. Possible for 20 to 200 headphones, typically German/English and German/BCS.

What happens if there is no stable internet on site?

We use the existing internet if it is reliable. Otherwise we bring our own connection with bonded cellular on request – the livestream is then independent of the in-house Wi-Fi.

How quickly do we receive photos and video material after the press conference?

We deliver photos on the same day (€ 500 net, selection for your press work) and the event video by the following day at the latest. On request we also handle the upload to your channels or provide a download link for newsrooms.

How much lead time do you need, and do you also work outside Vienna?

Around two weeks is ideal, as location, sound, lighting and distribution channels can then be planned calmly – short-notice dates are possible on request. We work throughout Austria and internationally; travel and expenses are itemised individually in the quote.
